What to Expect
Welcome!
We're so glad you're considering worshiping with us on a Sunday morning. City of God Church was planted over a decade ago with three goals in mind. We want to love Jesus, love people, and advance the gospel.
We invite you to come and see what God is doing in and through our church. We currently meet for Sunday worship at Lafayette Christian School (525 N. 26th Street, Lafayette, IN 47904).
Where Do I Park?
There are several places available for you to park on a Sunday morning. Lafayette Christian School has parking available on Brown Street and N. 26th Street.
If those spaces are full, we invite you to check the parking lot across the street (Sunnyside Intermediate School). You're also welcome to park in the neighborhoods surrounding the church, but please be mindful of our neighbors and make sure you aren't blocking a driveway.
What Should I Wear?
You're invited to come as you are, whether it's a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing. Most of our members will tend to dress casually.
How Long Will the Service Last?
On average, our services tend to last one hour and 15 minutes.
What Happens During the Service?
Every worship service at City of God is built around the same common elements. We'll worship God through song, hear His word preached to us through a sermon, and share in communion together.
